Illustration : chantier

At École primaire Umoja (Mont-Amba, Kinshasa), the Integrity Club reported on EduCheck: materials badly stored. Within 83 days and through « Meeting with the school management », the project fixed the problem.

The « Équipement d’une bibliothèque » project is meant to improve École primaire Umoja (Mont-Amba, Kinshasa). Student monitors of the school’s Integrity Club, trained by the Anti-Corruption Research Centre (CERC), follow the works with the EduCheck questionnaire to check that what was promised is delivered.

The problem

On 5 May 2026, the Integrity Club reported the following problem at École primaire Umoja: materials badly stored.

Materials that were paid for must reach the site: every diverted bag means a weaker building.

The problem was published on the school’s page and sent to the project management committee and the contractor.

The dialogue

The monitors opened a dialogue with the project management committee and the contractor:

  • Meeting with the school management

The result

The fix was recorded on 27 July 2026, 83 days after the report.

The monitors will check the fix during their next visit; the problem will then move to « Verified ».

This success shows what citizen monitoring makes possible: a problem made visible, a dialogue with the right people and a verified solution, for the benefit of pupils.

Your school can change too
